The 14.2 mile Deep Creek Detour bypasses 15.7 miles of the PCT damaged by winter storms that caused landslides and damaged several bridges.
To protect the endangered mountain yellow-legged frog this 18.2 mile detour begins at Islip Saddle and bypasses 7.8 miles of the PCT.
A new 4.6 mile Station Fire Detour will be in effect May 7th, 2011. The 2011 detour replaces the 47 mile detour from 2010. Note that the endangered species detour is back as a result of the shorter Station Fire Detour.
